QUETTA, Nov 05 (APP): Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Sarfraz Bugti has asserted that corruption—not insurgency, is the province’s most pressing issue, and overcoming it will usher in a new era of genuine development and prosperity.
He made these remarks during a meeting with members of the National Youth Council, held to discuss youth empowerment and civic engagement.
The meeting was attended by Chairman of the Prime Minister’s Youth Program Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan, youth delegates, focal persons, and officials from the Youth Department.
On the occasion, CM Sarfraz Bugti also distributed laptops among council members as part of the government’s commitment to digital inclusion and education.
CM Bugti emphasized that practical steps are underway to promote meritocracy in Balochistan, ensuring that young people receive opportunities based on their abilities and potential.
He described the youth as valuable assets to the state, and reaffirmed the government’s dedication to guiding them toward a constructive and prosperous future.
Addressing concerns about national unity, CM Bugti said “Enemy elements dream of breaking the state through violence, but they will never succeed in their nefarious objectives.”
He urged the youth to promote the true narrative of the state, foster positive thinking, and counter violence-based attitudes and propaganda with reasoned arguments and facts.
Sarfraz Bugti stressed the importance of understanding the difference between perception and reality regarding Balochistan’s challenges and progress.
Chairman Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan commended CM Bugti’s leadership, adding that the current provincial government is actively listening to youth voices at every level. He described the administration’s efforts as transformative. “I have visited Quetta six times, but this time I have felt the winds of change, which are a symbol of the youth’s confidence.”
Rana Mashhood said that the inclusion and engagement of youth under CM Bugti’s leadership are commendable and represent a guarantee of a bright future for Balochistan.
