PTI peace jirga on provincial security on Nov 12

PESHAWAR, Nov 05 (APP):The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leadership in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will convene an all-parties “Peace Jirga” on November 12 to address the province’s law and order situation.
The decision was reached during a high-level consultative meeting jointly chaired by Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Muhammad Sohail Afridi and PTI’s Provincial President Junaid Akbar.
The meeting was attended by senior party figures, including Provincial Assembly Speaker Babar Saleem Swati, provincial ministers, and Members of the National Assembly.
Special Assistant to Chief Minister on Information, Shafi Jan said that participants reviewed the provincial security situation and discussed arrangements for the proposed Peace Jirga.
The meeting determined that the Jirga would serve as an inclusive platform for all political stakeholders.
Invitations will be extended to all political parties represented in the province, including their heads, presidents, and general secretaries.
The gathering will also include former chief ministers, civil society representatives, and senior members of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Bar Association.
The Peace Jirga will be held at 11:00 AM on November 12 in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly Hall, aiming to develop a unified strategy for lasting peace and stability in the province.
