MULTAN, Nov 05 (APP):Deputy Commissioner (DC) Waseem Hamid Sindhu has said that the district administration has launched an intensive anti-dengue campaign under a strict zero-tolerance policy.
The DC said that the dengue control room has been made fully functional to monitor and coordinate all related activities.
The control room will operate round the clock, with a toll-free helpline providing immediate guidance to citizens regarding dengue patients, hospital admissions, IRS spraying, and diagnostic tests. Citizens can also register complaints or seek information by contacting the control room staff at 061-9200902, who are available 24 hours a day.
The Deputy Commissioner said that, more than 500 dengue larvae sites have been eliminated in the last three days as part of the aggressive operation. He added that over 3,000 legal notices have been served to violators of anti-dengue regulations, while 15 FIRs have been registered against those who failed to implement preventive measures.
The DC further informed that a total of 188 indoor surveillance teams, 189 outdoor teams, and 105 supervisory staff members were actively participating in the campaign. In total, 869 personnel were engaged in dengue control activities across the district.
He emphasized that the administration was determined to completely eradicate dengue from the city through consistent monitoring, community engagement, and strict enforcement of preventive measures.
