ISLAMABAD, Nov 05 (APP):Chairman Capital Development Authority (CDA) Muhammad Ali Randhawa ensured the early possession of plots in Islamabad’s Sector I-12, emphasizing that the authority has accelerated development work in the sector to provide long-awaited relief to allottees.
According to official sources on Wednesday, a delegation representing Sector I-12, comprising Ansar Gondal, retired professor Khumar Gul, Tahir Mahmood, and Fahad Hameed, met the chairman at CDA Headquarters and discussed the issue of early possession of residential plots.
The delegation expressed gratitude to the chairman for his active interest in the development of Islamabad’s residential sectors, particularly Sector I-12, where significant on-ground progress has been observed in recent months.
Speaking on behalf of the allottees, Ansar Gondal told the CDA Chairman that under his dynamic leadership, major development work in Sector I-12 has been completed.
He urged the chairman to consider granting possession to the allottees.
He further apprised the chairman that granting conditional possession at this stage would not only facilitate allottees but also generate additional revenue for the CDA.
Ansar Gondal proposed that possession be handed over to plot owners while the remaining development work continues, allowing them to begin construction of their houses alongside the ongoing CDA projects.
He also handed over a written application requesting the chairman to consider conditional possession and to ensure that the development of remaining facilities proceeds alongside construction activities.
This, he said, would help allottees to complete their homes by the time full infrastructure work is finalized.
Chairman Randhawa assured his full support for resolving the sector’s long-standing issues.
He said that the CDA had already speed up development work in Sector I-12 and would continue to remove all obstacles to ensure timely possession.
The chairman signed the application and forwarded it to the concerned department for immediate consideration.
Khumar Gul described the meeting as highly encouraging.
“Our discussion with Chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa was very positive. We are hopeful that he will soon announce possession of Sector I-12. His proactive approach has revived our confidence that this long-standing issue will finally be resolved,” he said.
Fahad Hameed the other allottee expressed optimism that the CDA’s current leadership will turn long-standing promises into reality, bringing long-awaited relief to thousands of middle-class families who have been waiting for decades to build their homes in Sector I-12
