Ombudsperson’s advisors visits Jalalpur flood relief camp

MULTAN, Nov 05 (APP):Regional Head Punjab Ombudsperson’s Office Multan and Advisor Mahmood Javed Bhatti visited flood relief camp at the flood-hit tehsil, Jalalpur Pirwala, where they witnessed arrangements, meant to provide relief to the affected people.
Before the visit to the relief camp accompanying Assistant Commissioner Mukarram Sultan, the Advisor also chaired a seminar at Government Graduate College Jalalpur and presided over an open court where he heard and received complaints of people against alleged maladministration of provincial departments. College Principal Aslam Farooqi and AC Jalalpur were present among others.
Speaking at the seminar, Mahmood Javed Bhatti said that Punjab Ombudsperson’s Office was actively engaged in resolving public complaints against the maladministration of provincial departments in shortest possible time and without any financial burden.
He said, people can submit complaints on a plain paper by post, or via electronic means of communications and added that after receiving complaints the complainants are sent information via SMS about hearing.
Bhatti said that Ombudsperson’s office was resolving public complaints at the door step of the people.
A number of people attended the open court and submitted their complaints. The Advisor promised to resolve their complaints on merit.
Assistant Commissioner Jalalpur Mukarram Sultan, Advisor-II Waqar Hussain, and associate assistant Maaz Hassan Bakhtiyar also accompanied him.
