SARGODHA, Nov 05 (APP):The Punjab Food Authority (PFA) Sargodha on Wednesday caught a group involved in producing adulterated milk during an operation launched in Sillanwali tehsil.
According to a PFA spokesperson, the food safety team raided a unit and discarded 1,100 liters of counterfeit milk. The fake milk was being manufactured using vegetable oil and dry powder. The raiding team also seized a large quantity of dry powder and vegetable ghee from the premises. All machinery used in the production of the fake milk was confiscated and taken into the authority’s custody.
The spokesperson confirmed that a First Information Report (FIR) was registered against the accused individuals at the relevant police station. “Strict operations are being carried out across the province against the adulteration mafia,” the spokesperson added. The authority urged citizens to report any food-related complaints on the helpline 1223.
