SHANGHAI, Nov 5 (BelTA/APP): The national exhibition of Belarus has been showcased at the eighth China International Import Expo (CIIE 2025), which officially opened in Shanghai on 5 November, BelTA has learned.

The initiative for the expo, held annually since 2018, comes from Chinese President Xi Jinping. This event is traditionally organized with the support of China’s Ministry of Commerce and the Shanghai Municipal Government. It is one of the largest and most comprehensive multi-industry exhibition events in China.

As the world’s first national-level exhibition entirely dedicated to imports, CIIE aims to facilitate communication between international companies and Chinese buyers, showcase foreign products and services, and strengthen China’s commitment to opening its markets.

According to the representatives of Belinterexpo of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, at CIIE 2025 Belarus is presenting an exhibition located in the country pavilion and thematic areas focused on Food and Agricultural Products and Intelligent Industry and Information Technology. The Belarusian exhibition spans an area of 402 square meters and has been organized by Belinterexpo with participation from over 40 domestic companies in the food industry, industrial sector, scientific and technical organizations, and educational institutions.
The Food and Agricultural Products Pavilion features renowned organizations from Belgospishcheprom Concern, Brestmyasomolprom Holding Company, and leading producers of meat, dairy, confectionery, and dessert products.

The Intelligent Industry and Information Technology Pavilion showcases a collective exposition from scientific, technical, and educational institutions presented by the State Committee for Science and Technology, the National Academy of Sciences, and the Education Ministry of Belarus. The same pavilion also presents enterprises under the Belarusian Industry Ministry and major sectoral concerns – Belneftekhim and Bellesbumprom. Additionally, the Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange (BUCE) is featured.

Overall, this year’s large-scale international exhibition occupies over 300,000 square meters, having gathered overseas participants from more than 150 countries and regions. These include Australia, Brazil, Qatar, Oman, India, Türkiye, the UAE, Russia, Egypt, Zimbabwe, Italy, Finland, Spain, France, Canada, Mexico, Argentina, Venezuela, Peru, and others.

More than 50 countries and international organizations are represented in the country-specific section of the exhibition space, with Sweden and the United Arab Emirates serving as Guest Countries of Honor, while Kyrgyzstan is making its debut at the event. A large portion of participants are also featured in the various industrial and thematic pavilions.

Undoubtedly, one of the most anticipated participants at CIIE 2025 is the Republic of Belarus, as China and Belarus are bound by years of reliable and strategic partnership across a wide spectrum of areas.

The grand opening of the Belarus National Exposition will take place in 6 November.
