MULTAN, Nov 05 (APP):Syngenta Pakistan has launched a Rs 50 million initiative to help flood-affected farmers restore their livelihoods in Multan and Sahiwal divisions.
In the first phase, the company is distributing crop related products and vegetable seeds worth Rs 25 million, benefiting farmers working on nearly 12,000 acres of damaged farmland. Similarly, it would also be distributed in Multan division too.
The launch ceremony, held at Model Agrimall, Sahiwal, was attended by Punjab Agriculture Minister Syed Ashiq Hussain Kirmani, Secretary Agriculture Iftikhar Ali Sahoo, Commissioner Dr. Asif Tufail, and senior officials. From Syngenta Pakistan, Country General Manager Zeeshan Hasib Baig, Head of Corporate Affairs Syed Ali Murtaza, and Head of Sales Banaras Habib distributed the products among farmers.
“Our farmers are the backbone of Pakistan’s economy, and it is our duty to support them in times of adversity,”
said Zeeshan Hasib Baig, reaffirming Syngenta’s commitment to sustainable agriculture and community welfare.
The initiative aims to revive productivity and strengthen resilience across Punjab’s flood-affected farming communities.
