MULTAN, Nov 05 (APP):Punjab Emergency Service Rescue-1122 Multan efficiently handled 11,482 emergencies in October 2025, rescuing 11,723 people with an average response time of under seven minutes, reflecting the department’s strong operational performance.
According to District Emergency Officer Dr. Hussain Mian, Rescue 1122 received 75,091 calls during the month.
The data shows that 7,148 medical emergencies, 2,821 road accidents, 246 crime incidents, 81 fire cases, two drowning incidents, and five building collapses were reported.
Rescue teams provided first aid to 3,040 victims, shifted 4,046 patients to hospitals, and transferred 220 patients between hospitals under doctors’ advice. Sadly, 343 victims could not survive despite timely efforts. Additionally, 23 animals were also rescued and treated.
Dr. Hussain emphasized that timely, quality emergency response is the department’s top priority and urged citizens to follow traffic rules, avoid over-speeding, and wear helmets.
