ABBOTTABAD, Nov 05 (APP):Deputy Commissioner Mansehra chaired an important meeting to review the Winter Contingency Plan aimed at ensuring preparedness for the upcoming cold season.
During the meeting, participants discussed a comprehensive strategy to deal with possible challenges such as heavy snowfall, landslides, and road blockages that may occur during the winter.
The Deputy Commissioner directed all departments to complete advance preparations to facilitate the public and ensure timely relief and rescue operations. He stressed the need for close coordination among departments for an immediate response in case of any emergency.
He further instructed relevant authorities to keep machinery, staff, and rescue teams on high alert to ensure rapid action when needed.
Reaffirming the administration’s commitment, the Deputy Commissioner said that all possible measures were being taken to safeguard public convenience, safety, and assistance during the winter season to effectively manage any untoward situation.
The session was attended by the Additional Deputy Commissioner (Relief & Human Rights), Assistant Commissioners, TMOs, and heads of relevant departments.
