SUKKUR, Nov 04 (APP):Sindh Local Government Minister Syed Nasir Hussain Shah on Tuesday inaugurated a modern cattle colony in Rohri, near Aror University.
The event was attended by District Council Sukkur Chairman Syed Kumail Hyder Shah, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Sukkur, Nadir Shahzad Khan, cattle owners, media persons, and citizens.
In his address, Minister stated that the Rs 61 crore project, spread over 58 acres, is a testament to the Pakistan People’s Party’s people-friendly policies and a significant gift to the people of Rohri. The Minister directed the Sukkur district administration to take action against any remaining cattle sheds in Sukkur or Rohri and relocate them to the new colony. He highlighted the colony’s features, including a solar power system, drinking water, and security facilities, aiming to make it one of Pakistan’s largest cattle colonies.
Regarding the 27th Constitutional Amendment, Shah stated that the PPP is a party of the poor and democracy, representing the entire country. The party’s Central Executive Committee will make the final decision on the amendment.
He also addressed questions about the federal government’s offer to join the coalition and the new Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, expressing sympathy for the new CM and urging him to focus on saving lives and property.
