LAHORE, Nov 04 (APP):The Punjab Safe Cities Authority (PSCA) has successfully activated 1,283 free Wi-Fi spots in 24 districts of Punjab, under the “Digital Punjab” vision of chief minister Punjab,
According to a PSCA spokesperson, 470 of these locations are in Lahore, where citizens are actively benefiting from the service.
The free Wi-Fi network facilitates the use of approximately 7 terabytes (TB) of data daily, serving over 700,000 users. So far, more than 76.76 million users have utilised 1,378 TB of data through the service.
The spokesperson further said that the free Wi-Fi initiative will soon be extended to more cities across Punjab to ensure broader public access. Citizens have been advised to use the facility strictly for emergency and essential communication purposes, rather than for video streaming or recreational use.
