LAHORE, Nov 04 (APP):An anti-terrorism court (ATC) on Tuesday ordered the discharge of 56 workers of a banned religious party from various cases due to insufficient evidence.
ATC Judge Manzer Ali Gill heard multiple cases registered against the banned party’s workers. The court discharged 52 accused in cases lodged at Nawan Kot Police Station and four accused from Chung Police Station.
Meanwhile, 15 workers from Nawan Kot and four from Shahdara were sent to jail on judicial remand, while the court approved the physical remand of three accused from Manga Mandi Police Station.
The court also ordered several other suspects, including those from Badami Bagh, Shahdara, and Sadar Muridke police stations, to be sent to jail for identification parades.
