LAHORE, Nov 04 (APP):On the special directions of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif, the monitoring of ration card printing and distribution for workers across the province is continuing effectively to ensure transparency and timely delivery.
In his regard, a meeting was held under the chair of Provincial Minister for Labour and Human Resource Mansha Ullah Butt at the Social Security Head Office, here on Tuesday.
The meeting was attended by Secretary Labour Naeem Ghaus, Commissioner Social Security Muhammad Ali, CEO Punjab Social Protection Authority, representatives of the Bank of Punjab, and senior officers of relevant departments.
Representatives from the Bank of Punjab gave a detailed briefing on the ongoing process of ration card printing, distribution, and delivery.
The minister directed the departments concerned to further improve and accelerate the process, emphasizing that, under the instructions of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, the ration card initiative must reach workers in the most efficient and transparent manner.
Mansha Ullah Butt said the ration card is a valuable gift from Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz to every labourer, adding that the government is ensuring fair distribution and timely delivery of cards across the province. He informed that a dedicated Ration Card Cell has been established at the Punjab Social Security Head Office, where issuance, distribution, and monitoring are being reviewed on a daily basis.
He added that this welfare initiative will directly benefit thousands of working families across Punjab, as all relevant departments are working in close coordination to ensure smooth implementation.
Representatives of the Bank of Punjab informed that a significant increase in the printing and distribution of ration cards is expected in the coming days to achieve the set targets within the stipulated timeline.
