ATTOCK, Nov 4 (APP):Commissioner Rawalpindi, Engineer Aamir Khattak, and Regional Police Officer (RPO) Rawalpindi, Babar Sarfraz Alpa, along with Deputy Commissioner (DC) Attock, Rao Atif Raza, and District Police Officer (DPO) Attock, Sardar Mavarhan Khan, visited Gurdwara Sri Panja Sahib, Hassan Abdal, to review security arrangements.
According to APP correspondent, on the occasion of the 556th birth anniversary of Baba Guru Nanak, they reviewed in detail the security and administrative arrangements made for Sikh pilgrims arriving from within the country and abroad.
DC and DPO informed that the district administration and police had ensured foolproof security arrangements in and around Gurdwara Sri Panja Sahib.
Comprehensive measures have been completed for the pilgrims’ movement, route plan, parking areas, accommodation, sanitation, medical camps, drinking water, traffic management, and other municipal services.
Commissioner, Aamir Khattak, directed the concerned departments to further improve all arrangements and to provide every possible facility to the pilgrims so that they can perform their religious rituals without any inconvenience.
He said that the Government of Punjab’s efforts for promoting interfaith harmony and tolerance are commendable.
RPO, Sarfraz Alpa, said that Attock Police are fully alert regarding security and that foolproof arrangements have been made for all pilgrims.
He added that the police, district administration, and all relevant departments are working in complete coordination to ensure that peace and order remain exemplary throughout the celebrations.
DC, Atif Raza, said that the district administration has ensured the provision of municipal services, cleanliness, medical aid, water supply, and smooth traffic flow, while DPO, Mavarhan Khan, stated that police personnel have been deployed at all entry and exit points and that the safety of the pilgrims is the top priority.
