History to remember Benazir Bhutto as Symbol of Democracy & Women’s Empowerment, Says Dr. Jaffar Ahmed

HYDERABAD, Nov 04 (APP):The Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Chair of the University of Sindh, Jamshoro organized a lecture titled “Benazir Bhutto – How History Will Judge Her Role at the Institute of Sindhology.
Renowned expert of social sciences Prof. Dr. Syed Jaffar Ahmed from Sohail University Karachi delivered a research-based lecture, while Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Fateh Muhammad Mari presided over the event.
According to a statement issued on Tuesday, Dr. Syed Jaffar Ahmed said that Benazir Bhutto’s ideological, intellectual and creative vision would continue to illuminate the horizon of political history. He observed that Benazir Bhutto was a symbol of democracy, political struggle and women’s empowerment, adding that history would remember her not merely as a politician but as a thought and a movement.
He further stated that through her courage, vision and principles, Benazir Bhutto elevated Pakistan’s stature on the global stage, and history would remember her political struggle with great honor.
In his presidential address, Vice Chancellor Dr. Fateh Muhammad Mari said that Benazir Bhutto’s name would forever remain associated with democracy, struggle and the promotion of education. He added that she was a beacon of hope and inspiration for women not only in Pakistan but across the world, and history would regard her ideas and sacrifices with deep respect.
Pakistan Peoples Party leader Aajiz Dhamrah said that Benazir Bhutto was a towering name in the struggle for democracy, who earned global recognition through her political perseverance.
Director of the Benazir Bhutto Chair, Dr. Rehana Mallah thanked the guests and said that the Chair would continue organizing such events to promote research and dialogue on Benazir Bhutto’s vision and leadership.
