PESHAWAR, Nov 04 (APP):Pakistan’s legendary squash player Jansher Khan has said that sports competitions should be organized between Pakistan and China so that Pakistani athletes can avail the best opportunities to play and further polish their skills.
He expressed these views during his visit to the Chinese Cultural Center China Window here on Tuesday.
Former World Squash and British Open champion, Jansher Khan visited various galleries of China window, signed the Friendship Wall and recorded his views in the visitors’ book.
He remarked that China has made remarkable progress in the field of sports that is regarded as an industry. China’s prominence is not only evident in the Olympics and other international competitions but it has also used sports as a means of diplomacy, culture, and public health promotion.
Jansher Khan said that by hosting the 2008 Beijing Olympics and the 2022 Winter Olympics, China showcased its sporting capabilities and organizational strength to the world. He emphasized that the development of sports is part of China’s state policy adding that Pakistan’s government should also benefit from China’s experience in this sector.
He stressed the need for more sporting events between Pakistan and China and highlighted the importance of learning from Chinese coaches.
