FAISALABAD, Nov 04 (APP): The Water & Sanitation Agency (WASA) Faisalabad’s revenue recovery campaign has gained significant momentum, achieving record-breaking progress in the current fiscal year.
WASA Managing Director Sohail Qadir Cheema announced on Tuesday that in the first four months of the new financial year, revenue recovery showed steady growth, culminating in a remarkable Rs. 400 million collected in October 2025 alone—marking the highest monthly recovery to date.
He praised the efforts of Deputy Managing Director (Admin) Shoaib Rasheed, Director Revenue Muhammad Iqbal Malik, Umar Iftikhar, and the entire revenue staff for their dedication and hard work.
Cheema explained that a special campaign targeting chronic defaulters had been launched, and sewerage connections of habitual non-payers were disconnected. This move encouraged many consumers to clear their outstanding dues and pay their monthly bills on time.
He emphasized that the timely payment of dues and monthly bills by consumers is crucial for WASA’s financial stability. The improved financial health of the agency would enable it to provide more efficient and comprehensive water supply and sewerage services to citizens across Faisalabad, he added.
