SARGODHA, Nov 04 (APP): Commissioner Jahanzeb Awan chaired a high-level meeting to review the progress of the Clean Punjab Program and other public welfare initiatives on Tuesday.
According to the official spokesperson, the meeting was attended by Deputy Commissioners from all four districts, along with other relevant officers.
During the meeting, the Commissioner directed the Deputy Commissioners to prioritize the Clean Punjab Program and accelerate sanitation activities to meet public expectations.
The meeting was informed that model street vendors have been provided in all districts, and officials were urged to activate them without delay.
The Commissioner also emphasized addressing key public safety issues, including the condition of zebra crossings, manholes, and student overloading in educational institutions. He stressed the importance of ensuring field presence and responding promptly to public complaints.
Deputy Commissioners were instructed to hold open courts every fortnight to listen to public grievances and submit reports with photographic evidence.
Additionally, the Commissioner called for stricter price control and the effective implementation of price monitoring systems.
