Crackdown launched on filling stations with faulty gauge

DERA ISMAIL KHAN, Nov 04 (APP):The district administration Tank has launched a crackdown against petrol pumps operating with faulty gauge and overcharging citizens.
According to district administration the action has been taken in line with the Public Agenda of the Provincial Government.
In this regard, Additional Assistant Commissioner (AAC) Tank, Malik Sajid Ali Khan, carried out surprise inspections at several petrol pumps across the district to ensure compliance with government standards.
During the inspection, the AAC checked fuel gauges, cleanliness, price lists, and the overall quality of petroleum products.
 The inspection revealed that while diesel gauges were accurate, some petrol gauges showed discrepancies.
Taking immediate notice, Malik Sajid Ali Khan issued strict warnings to petrol pump owners, directing them to rectify faulty gauges without delay.
He said that no negligence would be tolerated in ensuring accurate fuel measurement and the provision of clean, quality fuel to the public.
He vowed that regular inspections would continue to maintain transparency and fairness in the fuel supply sector.
