QUETTA, Nov 03 (APP): Chief Secretary Balochistan Shakeel Qadir Khan chaired a pivotal meeting of the Secretaries Committee on Monday to review governance reforms, with a strong focus on digital transformation, project monitoring, and transparency in development initiatives.
The meeting held at the Chief Minister’s Secretariat was attended by Additional Chief Secretary Development Zahid Saleem, Chairman CMIT Muhammad Ali Kakar, and secretaries from all provincial departments.
Chief Secretary Khan underscored the government’s commitment to leveraging modern technology to enhance service delivery and build public trust.
He emphasized immediate activation of online billing systems and fund disbursement through the SAP System to streamline financial operations.
The Chief Secretary directed for the mandatory use of the File Tracking System across departments to improve workflow transparency and accountability.
Shakeel Qadir Khan stressed that full operationalization of the Monitoring and Evaluation Section within the Planning and Development Department to identify issues and implement corrective actions based on project tracking reports.
He directed that the prompt resolution of complaints registered on the Pakistan Citizen Portal to ensure responsive governance.
Chief Secretary Khan highlighted the government’s focus on development programs in health, education, employment, and sanitation, aimed at restoring public confidence and addressing core issues.
The Departments were directed to actively use social media to showcase project progress and outcomes, ensuring transparent communication with the public.
He said that the projects should be completed within their stipulated timeframes to accelerate provincial growth.
The Chief Secretary Shakeel Qadir Khan emphasized transparent hiring against vacant posts to reinforce institutional integrity and public confidence.
“These proactive measures reflect our commitment to improving the lives of citizens and advancing social welfare across Balochistan,” he added.
