DC reviews measures of 15 day cleansing drive in Usta Muhammad

QUETTA, Nov 03 (APP):Deputy Commissioner (DC) Usta Muhammad, Muhammad Ramzan Palal, on Monday, chaired a meeting of the Coordination Committee to review measures of a 15-day cleansing campaign in the district.
The meeting was attended by Mayor Municipal Corporation Usta Muhammad Mir Muzaffar Khan Jamali, District Health Officer Dr Amir Ali Jamali, Xen Public Health Engineering, Chief Officer Municipal Corporation, District Education Officer Shah Bakhsh Pandrani, WAPDA, police and other department officers.
Addressing the meeting, DC Muhammad Ramzan Palal said that a 15-day cleanliness and sanitation campaign is being launched in Tehsil Usta Muhammad and Tehsil Gandakha.
He said that the Municipal Corporation would supervise the campaign while all other departments could provide full cooperation.
The DC directed that Public Health Engineering should remove any deficiency in its services during the campaign and if any water or sewage line is broken at any place, it should be repaired immediately.
He said that the Municipal Corporation should identify at least 10 important places that should be specially improved.
The meeting also appealed to the business community to cooperate with the Municipal Corporation for the cleanliness and beautification of the city so that Usta-Muhammad could be made a clean and healthy city.
Earlier, DC visited flood-affected areas of Gandakha, including Villages of Janar and Jinjh area of the district.
The personnel reviewed the situation on the ground and directed the concerned departments to complete all drainage and rehabilitation works immediately.
He emphasized that all illegal blockages obstructing the natural flow of water should be removed without delay to prevent
further damage to agricultural lands and residential areas.
He reaffirmed his commitment that all available resources to be utilized to resolve public issues, and the administration remains fully active in this regard
Meanwhile, DC also paid a detailed visit to the Tehsil Office Gandakha, where Tehsildar Gandakha Muhammad Ibrahim Palal briefed him in detail about the building’s condition and the issues being faced.
It may be noted that the Tehsil Office building was severely damaged during the devastating floods of 2022 and has not yet been fully restored.
During the visit, the DC thoroughly inspected the current condition of the building and directed the concerned departments to take immediate and concrete steps for its complete repair and rehabilitation.
He stated that providing better office facilities to the public is among the top priorities of the district administration to enhance efficiency and transparency in official operations.
