RAWALPINDI, Nov 03 (APP): City Police Officer (CPO) Rawalpindi Syed Khalid Hamdani on Monday visited the Kachehri Chowk and its adjoining areas to review traffic arrangements and the traffic situation during the ongoing mega project’s construction work.

According to a police spokesman, CPO Hamdani directed Chief Traffic Officer Farhan Aslam to ensure the best possible traffic management during school, college and office hours to facilitate commuters.

He said that although traffic flow had been affected on major roads because of the mega project, every possible measure must be taken to ease movement for the public. The traffic staff should remain deployed round the clock at all points to assist and guide the motorists.

The CPO said that improving traffic flow on all link roads was essential and that all available resources must be utilised to ensure public convenience, which remained the police’s foremost priority.
