PHP intensifies action against illegal LPG cylinders

KHANEWAL, Nov 03 (APP): The Punjab Highways Patrol (PHP) has launched an intensified operation against vehicles illegally fitted with LPG gas cylinders, a move aimed at enhancing public safety on the roads.
During a recent operation near Pull 132, PHP officers, led by Muhammad Iqbal Khan Baloch, In-charge of the Patrolling Check Post at Chak No. 134, inspected a passenger Hiace van and discovered that it had been fitted with unauthorized LPG gas cylinders.
The driver, Liaqat Ali, a resident of Lodhran, was promptly arrested, and the vehicle was seized. A case has been registered against him at the Thatha Sadiqabad Police Station following a formal complaint from the patrolling police.
The ongoing campaign, aimed at curbing the illegal installation of LPG gas cylinders in passenger vehicles, is being closely monitored to ensure that such unsafe practices are eradicated. Authorities emphasized that these unauthorized gas installations pose significant risks to public safety.
The PHP has vowed to continue its strict enforcement of traffic and safety regulations to ensure the safety and well-being of all road users in the region.
