LWMC intensifies cleaning efforts to achieve zero-waste goals

LAHORE, Nov 03 (APP):The Lahore Waste Management Company (LWMC) cleaning teams are actively working across the city to maintain cleanliness in public spaces.
According to LWMC sources on Monday, under the direction of CEO Babar Sahib Din, sanitation staff have been deployed throughout Lahore to carry out zero-waste activities. Cleaning operations are being diligently carried out inside and around Tolinton Market, while LWMC teams are also on duty at major bus stands, commercial markets, vegetable markets, and other public areas across the city.
To improve waste disposal facilities, attractive waste bins have been installed at Lahore Railway Station and along the central divider of Band Road. Special cleaning teams have been assigned to key locations such as Chowk Yateemkhana, Band Road, City Bus Terminal, Niazi Adda, Faisal Movers, and Skyways Bus Stand.
Additionally, LWMC workers and machinery have been deployed in all nine towns of Lahore to ensure zero waste at the local level, with grand cleaning operations taking place in each union council.
CEO Babar Sahib Din emphasized the company’s commitment to providing a clean environment, noting that workers and officials are operating in three shifts across the city to maintain cleanliness and public hygiene.
