SARGODHGA, Nov 03 (APP):The Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA) Sargodha is actively implementing emergency measures under the anti-smog action plan of the Punjab government, with a special emphasis on the ongoing tree plantation campaign and efforts to reduce air pollution in the city.
As part of these measures, sprinkling water on plants and trees has become a routine task. This initiative is part of a comprehensive strategy that not only aims to reduce environmental pollution but also to preserve the beauty of Sargodha. The plan is being executed in line with the vision of Punjab Chief Minister Ms. Maryam Nawaz, under the leadership of Commissioner Sargodha Jahanzeb Awan.
According to the details, the process of sprinkling water on trees and plants across Sargodha continues on a regular basis, with the goal of eliminating air pollution. The city’s tree plantation campaign is also in full swing to take concrete steps toward combating environmental pollution.
MD PHA Sargodha, Chaudhry Muhammad Arshad, emphasized that the authority is taking practical, grassroots-level actions in alignment with the Punjab government’s directives. By sprinkling water on roadside plants and in public areas, dust and harmful airborne particles are effectively reduced. These efforts are part of a broader initiative to reduce particulate matter (PM10 and PM2.5) and protect the public from the harmful effects of environmental pollution and smog.
Additionally, a record number of trees are being planted across Sargodha, aiming to improve the local environment and provide the public with a healthier and more sustainable climate, thereby taking significant steps to fight the growing problem of environmental pollution.
