HYDERABAD, Nov 03 (APP): On the directives of Deputy Commissioner Matiari Muhammad Yousif Shaikh, Additional Deputy Commissioner-II Iqra Jannat on Monday visited the dengue ward established at the District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital Matiari. The health department’s focal person for dengue Dr. Haji Muhammad Memon briefed her that the dengue ward had been made fully functional to deal with any possible emergency situation in a timely manner.
He further informed that currently, only one dengue patient was admitted to the hospital. The ADC-II inspected the hospital’s cleanliness and treatment facilities and directed that the current dengue situation be closely monitored.
She also emphasized that if any patient was found infected with the dengue virus, there should be no negligence in their treatment.
She appealed to the public to keep their homes and streets clean, eliminate stagnant water and adopt preventive measures against dengue to stop the further spread of the disease.
