LAHORE, Nov 02 (APP): Deputy Commissioner Lahore Syed Musa Raza paid a detailed visit to the Raiwind Ijtema venue on Sunday to review ongoing arrangements for the upcoming international congregation.
He was accompanied by Assistant Commissioner Raiwind Zohaib Mumtaz and representatives of the Ijtema administration.
During the visit, the Deputy Commissioner inspected the main congregation area, camps, parking sites, traffic routes, and public service facilities. Assistant Commissioner Zohaib Mumtaz briefed him on the overall preparation plan, including security, traffic management, and emergency response measures.
DC Syed Musa Raza directed all relevant departments to ensure completion of arrangements well before the start of the congregation. He emphasized that uninterrupted traffic flow, foolproof security, and efficient service delivery must be guaranteed for participants.
The DC instructed authorities to provide clean drinking water, ensure exemplary sanitation arrangements, and maintain cleanliness throughout the venue and adjoining areas. He underscored that the Raiwind Ijtema is an international religious event attended by thousands of participants from across Pakistan and abroad, therefore comprehensive coordination among all departments is essential.
He said that on the special directions of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif, he is personally supervising all administrative and logistical measures. “All available resources are being utilized to provide the best possible facilities and ensure a peaceful and well-organized congregation,” he added.
The Raiwind Ijtema administration appreciated the continuous cooperation and proactive role of the district administration in facilitating the smooth conduct of the annual congregation.
