LAHORE, Nov 01 (APP): Preparations for the 556th birth anniversary celebrations of Baba Guru Nanak Dev Ji have been completed, and a 3-day holiday has also been announced in all government and private educational institutions of Nankana City.
According to the district administration sources, 24 government schools and all private institutions will remain closed from November 4 to 6. At the same time, educational activities will also be suspended in Baba Guru Nanak University from November 3 to 6.
According to the district administration, it has been decided to close the city’s colleges in view of the celebrations.
Chief Executive Education Shazia Bano and the university administration have issued an official notification to close educational institutions.
It should be noted that a large number of Sikh pilgrims from India will come to Nankana Sahib to participate in the birth anniversary celebrations of Baba Guru Nanak Dev Ji.
It should also be remembered that two days ago, the Pakistan High Commission in New Delhi issued visas to 2,100 Sikh pilgrims from India to participate in these events.
