MUZAFFARGARH, Oct 31 (APP):A head constable deputed at Police Lines in Layyah was arrested and put in the lock-up of City Police Station after CCTV footage revealed his involvement in criminal activities.
Layyah police spokesman said that the accused official was spotted via CCTV footage and modern technology showing his involvement in motorcycle lifting. The city police registered case against the head constable and started investigations after putting him in the police lock-up.
The official had a history of involvement in criminal activities and that is why he was sent to police lines, he added.
DPO Layyah Muhammad Ali Waseem awarded cash prize and appreciation certificate to the police official, Tahir, for tracing the accused official. The DPO declared that no one was above law adding that law would apply equally on all and no criminal would enjoy leniency.
