MULTAN, Oct 31 (APP): At least two people were killed and another wounded in an exchange of fire over a land dispute in Qadarpur Ran area on Friday.
Police said they had arrested two accused involved in the broad daylight killing. The accused, identified as Rana Farooq, along with his accomplices, opened fire, resulting in the deaths of Qaiser Javed, son of Muhammad Javed, and Tahir, son of Munawar, on the spot.
Another man, Mujahid, a companion of the deceased, sustained bullet injuries during the incident. The bodies and the injured were shifted to Nishtar Hospital.
City Police Officer (CPO) Sadiq Ali Dogar said that the accused, including one unidentified person, had been arrested and further investigation was underway. He said the probe would be conducted fairly and those taking the law into their own hands would be brought to justice.
