MUZAFFARGARH, Oct 31 (APP):A motorcyclist was killed after being hit by a speeding truck on MM Road near Chowk Azam in district Muzaffargarh on Friday.
According to Rescue 1122 sources, the accident occurred when a rashly driven truck coming from the opposite direction lost control and ran over the motorcycle. As a result, the rider, identified as Ahmad Hassan, resident of Chak no. 340 TDA, sustained fatal injuries and died on the spot.
Rescue teams reached the scene immediately and shifted the body to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital, Chowk Azam, for legal formalities.
Police officials said that the truck driver fled the scene after the collision, abandoning the vehicle. A case has been registered, and an inquiry into the incident has been initiated to trace and arrest the absconding driver.
