Safe City Project, a model of smart policing

MULTAN, Oct 30 (APP):Civil Society Forum (CSF) leaders praised the Safe City Project as a model of smart policing and public service in the city of saints and appreciated Punjab government for efforts to create a safer and technology-driven urban environment.
They said this during a visit of CSF delegation to Safe City Multan Headquarters, led by Chief Coordinator Shahid Mehmood Ansari on Thursday.
SP Safe City Multan Nasrullah Warraich received the delegates and briefed them about the modern surveillance and monitoring system entrenched with public service features. He highlighted how advanced cameras installed across the city are helping reduce crime rates and enhancing public safety.
The delegation was also informed about key digital initiatives, including the Virtual Blood Bank, which facilitates emergency blood supply, and the Public Safety App, enabling citizens to report incidents or seek help directly through their mobile phones.
Prominent participants included Dr Humayun Shehzad, Dr Mureed Hussain Malik (Head of Department of Gender Studies, BZU), Aurangzeb Khan Baloch (former Vice President, High Court Bar), social thinker Mian Naeem Arshad, Madam Tahira Naseem, Ahsan Khan Sadozai, Malik Amir Nawaz, Dr. Farooq Langah, and several other senior members.
The Civil Society Forum presented a souvenir to SP Nasrullah Warraich in recognition of his services and the successful implementation of Safe City initiatives.
