WASA directed to complete ADP projects in-time

FAISALABAD, Oct 30 (APP): Managing Director (MD) Water & Sanitation Agency (WASA) Sohail Qadir Cheema has directed WASA officials to complete all schemes under Annual Development Program (ADP) within stipulated time frame.
Presiding over a meeting, he reviewed the development progress of ADP schemes and said that no delay in ongoing construction projects would be tolerated.
He directed the consultant agency NESPAK to ensure strict monitoring of all projects and maintain steady progress strictly in line with the approved timelines.
He instructed that testing of laid pipelines, quality standards, weight of manhole lids and other related specifications should be counter-checked to ensure compliance with approved technical standards.
He further directed that notices should be issued to contractor firms that have not yet commenced work on their respective schemes while construction speed on ongoing projects must be significantly accelerated.
He said that weekly progress would be ensured and negligence or sluggishness would no longer be accepted under any circumstances.
He said that construction work on Main Channel Four would be initiated within current week without any further delay.
He said that timely completion of ADP development schemes is top priority of WASA, as these projects would result in more efficient and improved drainage services for the citizens of Faisalabad.
Deputy Managing Director Engineering Saqib Raza, Director P&D Hina Saleem, Director Construction Usman Latif, Ali Ahmad and representatives from the consultant agency NESPAK were also present in the meeting.
