ISLAMABAD, Oct 30 (APP):Federal Minister for Education and Professional Training, Dr Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, praised the outstanding performance of the students and commended the Board’s transparency, credibility, and high examination standards.
He made these comments at the 38th Awards and Prizes Distribution Ceremony organized by the Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (FBISE),  to honor the outstanding students who achieved remarkable success in the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) First Annual Examinations 2024, said a press release on Thursday.
He participated in ceremony as a Chief Guest. The event was attended by distinguished educationists, principals, parents, academic professionals, and position-holder students who have brought pride to the nation through their exceptional achievements, it added.
The Minister emphasized the importance of knowledge, research, and self-reformation, noting that the true journey of humanity began with the advent of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and the divine command “Iqra” (Read), which established that knowledge is the sole key to success.
He further said that knowledge and wisdom are the hallmarks of humanity, and both worldly and spiritual success depend on them.
Pakistan, he said, was founded on an ideological basis, and as representatives of the Muslim Ummah, Pakistanis must lead by example in education and progress.
In the rapidly changing world, nations that fail to adapt are left behind — but through honesty, hard work, and advancement in science and technology, Pakistan can overcome every challenge.
The Chief Guest congratulated all award recipients, their parents, and teachers, assuring them that the government would continue to support institutions that promote quality education and transparency.
He also lauded the FBISE Chairman and administration for successfully organizing such a prestigious and inspiring event, reflecting the Board’s long-standing tradition of merit and excellence.
“If we are determined to change ourselves, Allah will help us,” he added.
As the Federal Minister for Education, he pledged to create an educational environment in Pakistan where youth would lead the nation’s progress through knowledge, character, and competence.
Earlier, Dr Ikram Ali Malik, Chairman FBISE, warmly greeted all distinguished guests, participants, and award-winning students.
He congratulated the position holders for their hard work, discipline, dedication, and perseverance, stating that their success demonstrates the commitment of Pakistan’s youth to excel globally through intelligence, creativity, and strong moral values.
The Chairman further highlighted that the Board is continuously working towards integrating Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based assessment and modern technologies into its examination system, aligning with national education goals.
He appreciated the contributions of teachers, parents, and education managers who have helped prepare the young generation to meet contemporary challenges.
He emphasized that FBISE is a forward-looking institution that takes pride in transparent examination processes, quality assurance, and alignment with international standards.
A total of 26 students, who secured top positions in the 2024 Annual Examinations, were awarded laptops, medals (gold, silver, and bronze for first, second, and third positions, respectively), merit certificates, and cash prizes in recognition of their extraordinary academic performance. These students represented public and private institutions affiliated with the FBISE both in Pakistan and abroad. The awards were granted purely on a merit basis.
