Ignite Board approves flagship digital transformation programs

ISLAMABAD, Oct 30 (APP):The Ignite Board, operating under the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication (MoITT), has approved the Prime Minister’s Cloud Program for Startups, enabling emerging enterprises to access global cloud infrastructure through a structured cloud credit support framework.
The initiative aims to reduce technology barriers, enhance scalability, and empower entrepreneurs to compete in international markets.
The Board also approved the Code4AI Program, which will train 7,500 individuals through hands-on learning in Python, JavaScript, and Java, with a focus on artificial intelligence application development using leading frameworks.
The program will additionally cover blockchain technologies such as Ethereum, Solidity, and Hyperledger, as well as quantum computing fundamentals and prompt engineering.
The Digital Pakistan Cyber Security Hackathon 2025 will be held across six cities, featuring hands-on training workshops and awareness sessions in 16 cities, engaging more than 3,000 participants. A specialized three-day training program exclusively for government officials will also be conducted.
To encourage excellence, Rs 6.5 million in cash prizes will be awarded to top-performing teams in the Capture the Flag (CTF) competition. Moreover, international training vouchers worth Rs 12 million will be distributed among top performers from the training sessions, while Rs 27 million has been earmarked to sponsor Pakistani teams in international cybersecurity competitions.
Meanwhile, the National Incubation Center (NIC) Quetta 2.0 will be operationalized to expand entrepreneurial opportunities across Balochistan. The center will support over 70 entrepreneurs annually through mentorship, training, and investor linkages, helping local startups transform innovative ideas into scalable businesses.
Furthermore, the SAP Training Program will certify 2,500 youth in globally recognized enterprise technology skills, enhancing their employability both domestically and abroad, while positioning Pakistan as an emerging SAP talent hub in the region.
