ISLAMABAD, Oct 30 (APP): President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Thursday paid tribute to the security forces for foiling an attempt by terrorists to infiltrate from across the border in Bajaur district.

In their separate messages, they termed the killing of four terrorists of the Indian-backed Fitna-al-Khawarij, including one most wanted terrorist, as an evidence of the nation’s determination and resolve.

President Asif Ali Zardari said the brave security forces have once again accomplished a significant achievement for the safety and security of the country.

The president also commended the spirit of sacrifice displayed by the law enforcement agencies and security forces who are striving to establish peace and safeguard the nation.

“The continued and determined operation against terrorism is the guarantee of sustainable peace and stability,” the president said.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said the security forces, through their professional skills, had killed the most wanted Khawarij commander, Amjad.

He reaffirmed the government’s resolve to continue defeating those who harm the lives and properties of innocent and unarmed citizens.

“The government is determined to completely eliminate the menace of terrorism from Pakistan,” the prime minister added.
