PESHAWAR, Oct 30 (APP):A security guard of Bus Rapid Transport (BRT) was killed in a robbery incident here Thursday, police said.
Within the jurisdiction of Chamkani Police Station, unidentified assailants opened fire and killed BRT security guard Muhammad Asim.
According to police, Muhammad Asim was on his way home after finishing his duty when armed robbers tried to loot him. When he resisted, they opened fire, killing him on the spot.
The deceased guard’s wedding was scheduled for November 16, and his wedding invitations had already been distributed.
Following the incident, fear and panic spread in the area, while police arrived at the scene, collected evidence, and launched an investigation.
