TASHKENT, Oct 30 (UzA/APP) : The event took place at Technopark as part of the official visit of the President of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić. The forum brought together representatives of government agencies and more than 100 entrepreneurs from both countries and aimed to launch practical projects in the industrial, agricultural, pharmaceutical, chemical, logistics, and IT sectors.
Special emphasis was placed on agriculture as a key area of cooperation. The major Serbian agribusiness company Delta Agrar announced its intention to expand its presence in Uzbekistan.
– Delta Agrar is a leading company in Serbia’s agricultural sector. The geography of our exports covers 38 countries – from Europe to the Far East and the United States. We view Uzbekistan not merely as a sales market, but as a long-term strategic partner. Your country possesses several key advantages, such as a favorable climate, extensive farmland, agricultural traditions, a hardworking population, and the development of modern technological and agronomic solutions, management standards, and access to export channels. All this creates a natural foundation for joint projects. We are interested in direct cooperation with Uzbek producers – not only in procurement, but also in joint investments, establishing value-added production, training personnel, and introducing modern quality standards. We already employ staff from Uzbekistan, and they have proven to be disciplined, professional, and reliable specialists, – said Bojana Žižović, HR Director at Delta Agrar.
As part of the forum, an exhibition was organized featuring more than 50 Uzbek companies from various industrial sectors. Their projects and products attracted significant interest from the Serbian delegation. The parties held G2B and B2B meetings and reached preliminary agreements that, according to participants, are expected to give additional momentum to the strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Serbia.
