MULTAN, Oct 29 (APP):In a major educational development, the Nursing College has been formally declared a constituent institution of Nishtar Medical University (NMU).
The decision, approved by the Specialised Healthcare and Medical Education Department, is expected to significantly improve the quality of nursing education and expand opportunities for advanced professional training.
A spokesperson for NMU said the integration aims to align nursing education with international standards by strengthening research, practical training, and academic collaboration. Through this affiliation, students will gain access to NMU’s modern curriculum, academic resources, and state-of-the-art facilities.
Vice Chancellor NMU, Prof. Dr. Mehnaz Khakwani, welcomed the move as a milestone achievement, emphasizing that it would play a vital role in producing highly skilled nursing professionals to meet the country’s growing healthcare demands.
Medical and academic circles have also lauded the decision, terming it a forward-looking step toward strengthening Pakistan’s healthcare education framework, the spokesperson added.
