PESHAWAR, Oct 29 (APP):The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Anti-Corruption Department on Wednesday successfully recovered 9 kanals and 10 marlas of commercial land belonging to the Irrigation Department in Malakand district. The recovered property is estimated to be worth approximately Rs 95 million.
According to officials, the action was taken after receiving multiple complaints about illegal occupation of the Irrigation Department’s land. Following a detailed inquiry, it was confirmed that the land was indeed government property under the department’s ownership.
The Anti-Corruption Department, in coordination with the Irrigation Department and the local administration, conducted the operation and formally handed the land back to the department.
Officials further stated that this recovery follows a recent operation in which 25 kanals and 10 marlas of commercial land, valued at around Rs 250 million, were also retrieved and returned to the Irrigation Department.
This series of actions marks a significant step by the Anti-Corruption Department toward reclaiming government assets and curbing illegal encroachments across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
