LAHORE, Oct 27 (APP):Special Assistant to Chief Minister (SACM) Punjab on Political Affairs Zeeshan Malik has said that priority measures for industrial development are a major component of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) government’s policy to strengthen the provincial economy.
He expressed these views during a meeting with officials of the Ferozepur Road Industrial Estate Association (FIRA) held in Lahore on Monday.
Zeeshan Malik said the Punjab government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, was committed to establishing more industrial zones across the province to promote industrial growth and create employment opportunities. He briefed participants on the progress of various development projects being implemented under the Lahore Development Program (LDP) initiated by the Chief Minister.
He assured the industrialists that, on the directives of the Chief Minister, the provincial government was taking all possible measures to promote industrialization, address sectoral challenges, and facilitate the business community. He said that the government maintained continuous coordination with all chambers of commerce and was incorporating their recommendations into budgetary and policy reforms.
The SACM emphasized that industrial progress is the cornerstone of national development, adding that the PML-N had always pursued pro-industry policies, including efforts to reduce energy costs, support businesses, and boost productivity.
During the meeting, participants discussed issues related to industrial infrastructure, energy supply, and investment promotion. Both sides agreed to enhance cooperation between the government and business community.
Prominent industrialists including Khawaja Shahziab Akram, Ehtisham-ul-Haq, Shafiq Ahmad Butt, and Adnan Khalid Butt appreciated the business-friendly policies of the Punjab government and commended Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s pro-industry vision aimed at sustainable economic growth.
