ISLAMABAD, Oct 27 (APP):Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of PHA Foundation, Muhammad Shahid Hussain, has expressed solidarity with the people of Jammu and Kashmir on the occasion of Kashmir Black Day, reaffirming Pakistan’s unwavering moral, political, and diplomatic support for their just cause.
In his message issued on Monday, Hussain said, “Today, we observe October 27 as Black Day, marking the unlawful occupation of Jammu and Kashmir by India in 1947.”
He noted that this day serves as a reminder of the continuous struggle and immense sacrifices of the Kashmiri people, who remain resolute in their pursuit of freedom and self-determination.
“The people of Pakistan stand shoulder to shoulder with their Kashmiri brothers and sisters in their struggle,” he stated, expressing hope that their sacrifices would soon lead to peace, justice, and freedom, as guaranteed under United Nations resolutions.
Highlighting the symbolic significance of the day, the PHA chief said, “October 27 is not just a date; it is the ink of oppression on the wounds of the Kashmiris. It marks the beginning of a saga of tyranny and brutality — a history written with the blood of martyrs.”
Hussain paid tribute to the courage and endurance of Kashmiri mothers and families who have endured decades of violence and loss.
“The blood of the martyrs is the guarantee of Kashmir’s freedom. The system of oppression will crumble, and the sun of liberty will rise,” he asserted.
Emphasizing the wider regional implications of the Kashmir dispute, he said that lasting peace in South Asia was closely tied to the peaceful and just resolution of the Jammu and Kashmir issue.
“The shadows of tyranny may be long, but they are not everlasting. The darker the night of oppression, the closer the dawn of freedom,” he concluded.
It is pertinent to mention here that across Pakistan, Kashmir Black Day was observed with solidarity rallies, seminars, and public gatherings. Government institutions, civil society organizations, and citizens reaffirmed their commitment to supporting the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) in their struggle for their inalienable right to self-determination.
Participants also urged the international community to uphold human rights and ensure the implementation of long-standing UN Security Council resolutions on the issue.
