Rally held to mark Kashmir Black Day, condemn Indian occupation

BAHAWALPUR, Oct 27 (APP):A rally and walk were held in Bahawalpur on October 27 to observe Kashmir Black Day, marking the anniversary of India’s illegal occupation of Kashmir. The event began at the Deputy Commissioner’s Office and concluded at Fareed Gate, where participants voiced their protest against the ongoing Indian occupation. The rally was attended by a large group of officers, employees from various departments, students, citizens, and government officials.
As they marched, participants raised slogans of “Kashmir Banega Pakistan” and “Down with India” to express their solidarity with the Kashmiri people.
During the gathering, speakers reminded the crowd that India had illegally occupied Kashmir on October 27, 1947. They noted that this day serves as a stark reminder of the unimplemented United Nations resolutions and the ongoing struggle of the Kashmiri people for self-determination. The speakers emphasized Pakistan’s unwavering stance against India’s illegal occupation and called on the international community to take action to ensure the Kashmiri people’s right to self-determination.
They further affirmed that the entire Pakistani nation stands united with their Kashmiri brothers and sisters, and reiterated that India cannot maintain its occupation through force.
The rally concluded with a prayer for the freedom of Kashmir, and participants, including officials from the District Council, Municipal Corporation, Health Department, Education Department, Colleges, Bahawalpur Development Authority, Social Welfare Department, Rescue 1122, Civil Defense, and Parks and Horticulture Authority, along with members of civil society, students, and citizens, carried flags of Pakistan and Kashmir while chanting slogans in support of Kashmiri freedom.
