LAHORE, Oct 27 (APP):In line with Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s “Suthra Punjab” vision to make Lahore a clean and encroachment-free city, the district administration has intensified a large-scale anti-encroachment operation across the provincial capital.
Under the supervision of Deputy Commissioner Lahore Syed Musa Raza, teams of the district administration and Metropolitan Corporation Lahore (MCL) are conducting operations on a daily basis in various markets, roads, and commercial centres without discrimination.
During the past two days, a total of 791 illegal encroachments were removed and confiscated materials seized, while the MCL Regulation Squad dismantled 2,021 illegal banners and flexes in the last 48 hours. The DC directed Assistant Commissioners to expedite operations against all identified encroachment hotspots across the city. He said that these operations were aimed at restoring public spaces, improving traffic flow, and enhancing citizens’ quality of life. He reiterated that the administration was following a zero-tolerance policy against encroachments and that all actions were being carried out transparently and in accordance with the law.
Syed Musa Raza said the district administration was fully committed to transforming Lahore into a clean, organized, and encroachment-free city under the Chief Minister’s vision. He added that grand operations would continue indiscriminately, and citizens could lodge complaints related to encroachments through the control room at 0307-0002345 or via official social media platforms.
