SARGODHA, Oct 27 (APP):A delegation from the Civil Services Academy (CSA) Lahore visited the University of Sargodha (UoS) on Monday for a study tour and met with Pro-Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Masood Sarwar Awan.
According to a spokesperson for UoS, the delegation included 11 officers from the 53rd Common Training Program, accompanied by their instructors. The meeting took place in the Committee Room of the Multipurpose Hall and was attended by Prof. Dr. Masood Sarwar Awan, along with various university officials and heads of academic departments.
Prof. Dr. Masood Sarwar Awan briefed the delegation on the university’s ongoing educational, research, and developmental initiatives, highlighting key projects under the Public-Private Partnership model. He discussed the university’s steps to modernize academic and research activities to better align with contemporary needs.
The Pro-Vice Chancellor also highlighted several significant university projects, including the completion of the Solar Energy Project, the commercialization of Khush Aab Water, the establishment of modern cafeterias under the Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) model, and the Waheed Wain Incubation Center. The Incubation Center aims to bring students’ business ideas to the market.
Additionally, he spoke about the university’s partnerships with national and international institutions and its growing role in regional development through community service initiatives. Prof. Dr. Awan emphasized that the university not only focuses on imparting education but also strives to instill ethical values in students to nurture responsible citizens, with skill-based, high-quality education remaining a top priority.
After the meeting, the delegation toured key university facilities, including the Wazir Agha Library, Waheed Wain Incubation Center, the modern gym, and newly established cafeterias, as well as various academic departments.
