Kashmir Black Day observed to express solidarity with Kashmiri people

DERA ISMAIL KHAN, Oct 27 (APP):Like the rest of the country, Kashmir Black Day was observed across the district to express solidarity with the oppressed people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) here on Monday.
In this connection, various events, speeches, and solidarity programs were also held in schools and government offices across the district and walks under the auspices of the district administration.
To mark the occasion, a solidarity Walk for Kashmir was organized under the leadership of Assistant Commissioner Kulachi, Muhammad Sohail Khan.
Assistant Commissioner Prowa Shah Bahram, officers from the Revenue Department, officials of various line departments, media representatives, and a large number of citizens participated in the event.
The walk began from GPO Chowk and concluded at Topanwala Chowk. Participants carried banners, placards, and posters expressing solidarity with the oppressed people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) and condemning Indian atrocities.
During the walk, the air resounded with slogans such as “Kashmir will become Pakistan” and “Struggle will continue until the end of oppression.”
Speaking on the occasion, Assistant Commissioner Muhammad Sohail Khan said that freedom is the fundamental right of the Kashmiri people, and the entire Pakistani nation stands shoulder to shoulder with them in their struggle for self-determination.
He emphasized that lasting peace in the region is linked to the just resolution of the Kashmir issue in accordance with the UN resolutions.
Condemning the ongoing brutalities committed by Indian forces against innocent Kashmiris, he reaffirmed Pakistan’s continued political, moral, and diplomatic support for the Kashmiri cause.
Other speakers highlighted that October 27 is observed as Kashmir Black Day to remind the international community that India’s forcible occupation of Jammu and Kashmir is illegal, unjust, and a violation of human rights.
At the conclusion of the rally, participants offered special prayers for the solidarity of Pakistan, freedom of the Kashmiri people, and unity of the Muslim Ummah.
