Uzbekistan’s GDP grew by 7.6 percent

TASHKENT, Oct 27 (UzA/APP):According to preliminary data from the National Statistics Committee, in January-September 2025, the gross domestic product (GDP) of Uzbekistan in current prices amounted to 1,303,702.1 billion UZS, up 7.6% from the same period in 2024.
The initiative is being implemented in partnership with the Azerbaijan Tourism Board (ATB) and the National PR Center of Uzbekistan. Its goal is to promote the cultural, historical, and natural tourism potential of the two countries, develop joint routes along the Great Silk Road, and strengthen professional ties between tour operators.
Representatives of tourism committees, PR centers, DMCs and hotel chains, as well as Czech tour operators and heads of relevant organizations, took part in the event.
During the presentation, the Uzbek side introduced the country’s key tourist destinations, including Samarkand, Bukhara, and Khiva, all of which are inscribed on UNESCO’s World Heritage List. Special attention was paid to the development of ecological, gastronomic, ski, MICE, and cultural tourism.
After the official part, a B2B meeting was held, during which tour operators from Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, and the Czech Republic discussed prospects for cooperation and exchanged proposals on the formation of joint tourism products.
In the service sector, the growth rate was 8.7%. Of these, trade, accommodation and food services grew by 10.6%, transportation and storage, information and communication by 14.6%, and other services by 6.4%. The service sector’s positive contribution to GDP growth amounted to 4.0 percentage points. The volume of net taxes on products increased by 6.9%, and its positive contribution to GDP growth amounted to 0.3 percentage points.
