TASHKENT, Oct 27 (UzA/APP):A joint roadshow of Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan took place in Prague as part of the large-scale project Highlights of the Silk Road. The event became part of a European tour covering six cities, including Frankfurt, Vienna, Zurich, Budapest, Prague, and Barcelona.
The initiative is being implemented in partnership with the Azerbaijan Tourism Board (ATB) and the National PR Center of Uzbekistan. Its goal is to promote the cultural, historical, and natural tourism potential of the two countries, develop joint routes along the Great Silk Road, and strengthen professional ties between tour operators.
Representatives of tourism committees, PR centers, DMCs and hotel chains, as well as Czech tour operators and heads of relevant organizations, took part in the event.
During the presentation, the Uzbek side introduced the country’s key tourist destinations, including Samarkand, Bukhara, and Khiva, all of which are inscribed on UNESCO’s World Heritage List. Special attention was paid to the development of ecological, gastronomic, ski, MICE, and cultural tourism.
After the official part, a B2B meeting was held, during which tour operators from Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, and the Czech Republic discussed prospects for cooperation and exchanged proposals on the formation of joint tourism products.
