ISLAMABAD, Oct 27 (APP):Adviser to the Prime Minister on Political and Public Affairs, Senator Rana Sanaullah, on Monday, said October 27 serves as a reminder of the atrocities inflicted upon the people of Jammu and Kashmir under India’s illegal occupation.
In a statement issued here on the occasion of Kashmir Black Day, reflecting on the ongoing suffering of the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), he said on this day in 1947, India unlawfully seized control of Jammu and Kashmir.
He further emphasized that India’s act of aggression was a direct assault on the Kashmiri people’s right to self-determination. This unlawful action by India was an attack on the fundamental rights of the Kashmiri people,” he said.
He expressed his full solidarity with the people of Kashmir. “I stand in complete solidarity with my Kashmiris brothers and sisters on this tragic day,” he said, acknowledging the enduring sacrifices and decades-long struggle for freedom by the Kashmiri people.
“We salute the unwavering sacrifices of the Kashmiri people and their relentless struggle for independence.”
He also commended the Kashmiri people’s resilience, saying, “The people of Kashmir have shown that they will not bow to Indian oppression. Their steadfastness and unwavering commitment to justice serve as a beacon of hope for all of us.”
Sanaullah reiterated Pakistan’s continued support for Kashmir’s rightful cause. “We will continue to provide moral, political, and diplomatic support to the Kashmiri people in their just struggle,” he said.
He also called on the United Nations to take immediate notice of the ongoing human rights violations in IIOJK. “The United Nations must address the continuing human rights abuses in the illegally occupied region,” he urged.
He further appealed to the international community to ensure that the long-standing dispute is resolved in accordance with the UN Security Council’s resolutions. “The Kashmir issue is not just the issue of the Kashmiri people but a matter of humanity and global justice,” he said.
He prayed for the swift liberation of the Kashmiri people, saying, “May Almighty Allah soon bless the Kashmiri people with the gift of freedom.”
